This Privacy Policy explains how I, Brett Adams, a licensed Florida real estate agent with RE/MAX Advance Realty II, collect, use, and protect information on brettsellsflorida.com (the "Site"). The Site includes the pages at brettsellsflorida.com and its blog. Visitors who arrive from brettsellsmiami.com are redirected here and covered by this policy.
Some tools linked from the Site, including the property search and the home value estimate, run on a separate RE/MAX platform at advancerealtymiami.com. That platform has its own privacy policy, which applies when you use those tools. The free probate book is offered through navigatingprobate.com, which also has its own policy.
Information I collect
Information you give me. When you book a call, send a message, email me, or text me, I receive what you choose to share, typically your name, phone number, email address, and anything you write about your situation or property. You are never required to provide sensitive information through the Site.
Information collected automatically. The Site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics does not give me your name or contact details. My web host also keeps standard server logs, which record IP addresses, timestamps, and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
The Site does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers.
How I use information
- To respond to you, schedule calls, and answer questions.
- To provide real estate services you ask for, including buying, selling, probate, and divorce related transactions.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the Site.
- To keep the Site secure and comply with the law.
I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Calls and text messages
If you give me your phone number, you agree that I may call or text you about your inquiry, including by automated or prerecorded means. This may include follow up messages, market updates, and information about my services, sent through a messaging platform I use to manage communications.
Consent to receive automated messages is not a condition of buying or selling a home or of receiving any service from me. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact me at (305) 439-4395 or brett@brettsellsflorida.com. To stop calls, just tell me and I will remove your number.
Who I share information with
- Service providers that help run the Site and my business, such as my web host, Google (for analytics), and the email, text messaging, and scheduling platforms I use to communicate with you. They may process information only to provide their services.
- RE/MAX Advance Realty II, my brokerage, when you become a client, as required to handle a transaction and by Florida real estate law.
- Parties to a transaction, such as lenders, title companies, inspectors, and attorneys, when you ask me to work with them or a transaction requires it.
- Legal requirements, if I am required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect my rights or someone's safety.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. The Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no common standard for them.
Your rights
You can ask me to tell you what personal information I have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to any records I am required to keep under Florida real estate law and brokerage policy. Email me at brett@brettsellsflorida.com and I will respond within 30 days. If you are a California resident, you have these same rights under California law, and I confirm that I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
How long I keep information
I keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward in case you follow up. Transaction records are kept as required by Florida law and brokerage policy, which is generally at least five years. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings, currently 14 months.
Security
The Site uses HTTPS, and I take reasonable steps to protect information I hold. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or financial account numbers through the Site or by email. I will let you know if I need documents like that and how to deliver them safely.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, including the RE/MAX property search, Google, Amazon, navigatingprobate.com, and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which I do not control.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
